Common names: Flathead Lobster, Slipper Lobster
The crayfish, commonly known as a slipper lobster or flathead lobster has sweet and crunchy meat. It is found in similar habitats as sea crabs and are widely distributed in the region from the Red Sea and east coast of Africa, eastwards to India, China, southern Japan, the Philippines and tropical Australia.
Crayfish can be prepared generally according to recipes for crabs or prawns.
